Sienna Miller Steps Down as Creative Director of Her Clothing Label
Proving that over in the UK, actresses can actually design clothing lines and not just “insert celeb name for Kmart,” actress Sienna Miller and her fashion designer sister Savannah Miller have stepped down as the co-creative directors of their fashion label Twenty8Twelve.

The stylish sisters created the brand together in 2007 and have decided to move on to other ventures. Savannah Miller is a professionally trained designer who studied at Central Saint Martin’s and has worked for Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Betty Jackson and Matthew Williamson. Sienna Miller’s contribution to the brand is just, uhmmm, being a muse? I guess.

Even though the girls, who created the label, are leaving, the brand will still exist with its current design team.

“We’ve had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures. We wish the brand the best of luck for the future,” the girls released in a statement.

The brand was named after Sienna’s birth date of 28 December, thus Twenty8Twelve. However, now the brand will be renamed Twenty8Twelve London, rather than it’s current incarnation Twenty8Twelve by s. miller.

According to a statement released by the brand, “We’ve had a great partnership with the Miller sisters. From the beginning, our mission was to create a contemporary label with its own identity and strong directional design, as well as en emphasis on quality, cut and finishing. That vision, along with the uniquely British style the collection has become known for, will continue under the direction of the Twenty8Twelve design team.”
