Name the first thing that comes to mind when I say the name “Snooki.” It’s “fashion designer” right? Obviously.
Snooki has been “designing” slippers for brand Happy Feet for some time now, and has decided to expand into children’s and infant slippers, because babies want warm feet too. Also, because nobody is buying Snooki’s shoes so they needed to change their angle.
Happy Feet owner Pat Yates says, “We’re trying to expand our overall retail footing, but her name hasn’t gained retail traction yet. Stores don’t believe it can appeal to the masses.”
Aside from the fact that nobody except my grandpa wears slippers anymore, Snooki is reportedly very hands on with her slipper company.
“She didn’t just sign and walk away,” says Yates, “She’s involved in every facet, from the website design to the slippers.”
The baby slippers will go for $15 on her website, which is probably like picklelvr.com or impregnantnotfat.gov, actually, it’s Snookislippers.com, but are you actually going to buy them?
The slippers will be out this spring.
