Tommy Hilfiger Capitalizes On Recession!

Forget Wall Street, it looks like the Recession is hitting 7th Avenue! Many fashion designers are dropping out of New York Fashion Week already. Some designers have decided not to show their collection because of the economic crisis, but dry those fashionable tears because there is nothing like using other other peoples troubles to capitalize on your own gain! With the recent news of other designer drop outs Tommy Hilfiger has committed to the New York Fashion Week tents for February!

Rumor has it that Tommy Hilfiger has seized the coveted 10 a.m. slot on Feb. 19 to show his collection. This is interesting because Hilfiger has not shown his collection in the tents for about three years. The 10 AM slot used to belong to Vera Wang, but the bridal designer has decided not to show at the tents and opted for a smaller show that is “more appropriate for these times.”

Recent A-listers that have been spotted in the front row for Hilfiger shows have been Eva Mendes, Hilary Swank, and Pharrell Williams to name a few! We can't wait to see some A-listers hit the front rows in February. Even though its a recession we have a feeling Hilfiger's clothes will still look like a million bucks.
