TOMs Announces NEW Ballet Flat Line
September 27, 2011 by: MADISON VANDERBERG

Now, TOMS has taken it up a notch (Again!) and has unveiled a line of ballet-flats. So now all you women that have said that TOMS shoes were too boyish or didn't know how to wear them with dresses, you cannot say no to their new line of adorable ballet flats.
The flats are part of their Spring 2012 collection and the new styles include Leather & Suede, leopard prints, linen, and burlap. My favorites are sleek Moroccan inspired burlap, another that's a bright blue suede with light blue stitching, and another all-denim flat. Prices range from $74-129 and will be sold at the same retailers where their classic slip-ons are sold and also online.
And just like all their previous shoes, the ballet flats will continue the TOMS One for One model: for every pair sold, a pair of shoes will be given to a child in need. Currently you can sign up on their website to receive an alert when the ballet flats become available for sale and glimpse some of the new styles.
This announcement comes just months after TOMS shoes launched it's TOMS Glasses collection. They currently feature a rectangular wayfarer frame, an aviator frame and an oversized Nicole-Ritchie-circa-2007 frames.
The one-for-one format with the glasses is that for every pair of glasses purchased "someone will receive either medical help for severe eye disease, glasses to improve eyesight, or sight-saving surgery," said TOMS's founder Blake Mycoskie.
TOMS also launched another awesome venue last month. The brand teamed up with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's luxury label, The Row, to launch the TOMS Shoes + The Row collaboration. Now, the low-key TOMS shoes got an upgrade to designer status with a collection by The Row. The shoe's come in three categories: Plaid, Wool & Cashmere, and Herringbone.
These aren't your grey canvas TOMS anymore. These shoes are made with cashmere and something called Herringbone, that I'm apparently not fancy enough to have experienced yet. Those shoe's retail for about $150, which is like three times the cost of the average TOMS shoe.
