David Beckham Makes First Ever Appearance at Victoria\'s Fashion Show
Believe it or not, but David Beckham has never been to a runway show for any of his wife's collections. According to Victoria, David has always thought of her designing career as a kind of “hobby,” which is funny because his career consists of kicking a ball around, but she’s the one with the “hobby?”

Anyways, David watched Victoria launch her Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 collection in New York this weekend.

“This is David’s first show. I think he has only just realized how hard I work. That it’s not just a hobby,” Victoria told Grazia.

Also in attendance was their new daughter Harper Seven, and Victoria even dedicated a handbag in the collection appropriately titled, the Harper.

“Oh, she is such a daddy’s girl. Harper comes to work with me, last season she was here when we launched Victoria by Victoria Beckham,” says Victoria.

As for The Harper bag, “It’s all about construction and quality. The hardware and military influence is coming from the handbags. I am so excited about the new Harper bag. I am designing what I want myself. And I can’t wait to wear it.”

Is it weird that her baby and her handbag have the same name? We left Harper in the car! Oh, just the handbag? Phew.

Victoria says her Autumn/Winter collection not only pulls inspiration from her child, but from every aspect of her family.

“My daily life is my inspiration. I took the beanie hats from David’s wardrobe and there are some boyfriend jackets that are all him. And the baseball stripes and jersey cuffs came about when I was standing in the kitchen and [my son] Romeo runs in wearing a baseball kit and I thought that’s it. It looks so cool.”

This new collection features lots of her signature feminine fitted shapes but has more of a militant and structured feel than her usual dainty designs, many of the models walked the catwalk in biker boots. However, she left the gowns and girly dresses out of the runway collection, which has left many of her celebrity friends upset.

“I’ve been lucky to have had lots of people ask me to make them things for the red carpet, but I am having to say no. We are too small a team to be able to do that yet. I can’t afford to show them on the red carpet before I show them to buyers,” admits Beckham.

What she’s trying to say is…sh-t ain’t free. If you want to wear Victoria Beckham on the red carpet, you better buy it.
