Kelly Osbourne Idolizes Victoria Beckham

Both Kelly Osbourne and Victoria Beckham work “in fashion” and have made a name for themselves by basically branding their name. Kelly Osbourne says she admires the image Victoria Beckham has created for herself.

“The number of times I've sat next to Victoria on flights and she's awesome.”

Really, does this happen? Are celebs accidentally rubbing elbows with one another in first class like all the time?

Anyways, Kelly says she’s in awe of how glamorous Victoria is, “She'll arrive in designer clothes, change into comfy stuff, and then change back and do her make-up before she lands. I really admire her for the image she has created – and the fact she keeps her real self and her brand separate,” says Kelly.

"I wish I could be like that but I say what I think too much,” adds Kelly.

That just seems exhausting. Changing three times on one flight? And in those tiny restrooms? No thank you.

However, Kelly says she’ll never be typically beautiful like women like Victoria, and she’s glad for it.

“I think being just a pretty face must be the biggest curse in the world because men want to f**k you and women want to be you but that's all you'll ever have. I'll look at some of the friends I have who are famous for being beautiful and the things they have to go through … it's exhausting.”

Like I said, totally exhausting. Mark this down as the only time someone is happy to be average looking.

Though Kelly isn’t the only one to laud Victoria with compliments. Victoria’s right hand designer, Katie Hillier, who has worked closely with Victoria for the past two years on her luxury handbag collection, says that people shouldn’t underestimate Victoria’s skills as a shrewd businesswoman and a designer.

“Victoria is super-smart - people need to rethink their opinions of her. She knows a lot about handbags,” says Katie.

Uhmm…the last time I referred to someone as “super-smart” because they knew a lot about handbags was NEVER.

“In fact, she knows a lot about everything to do with fashion,” says Katie, “Working with her is not only really good fun; it's satisfying because the product is so amazing. It's hard to design a bag that speaks for itself."

Katie says it’s Victoria’s attention to detail that makes her so professional.

“With Victoria, it's all about the quality. I get emails from her saying, 'The little inside pocket doesn't have the right stitching.' Our focus isn't on designing a logo but on finding the right leather. I enjoy working on something that I know means something."
