Spice Girls Style –Then and Now
Hot off the announcement that the Spice Girls musical “Viva Forever” is opening this December, we’ve decided to take a look back at the Spice Girls style evolution. Once named after their on-stage personas (Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Scary and Baby) these ladies have come a long way (style wise) since 1996.

Victoria Beckham is still posh, but there was a time when she walked a line between a dominatrix and a very skinny tranny. Tube tops, no pants, corsets, and slinky dresses were her wheelhouse during the Spice Girl era. Cut to today and she’s a fashion designer with a wardrobe full of chic and demure designs. Goodbye platinum blonde bob, hello fashionista!

Mel C, Sporty Spice, went from being a super tomboy to superchic. She really wore out her “sporty” moniker, always wearing tennis shoes and half tops. She’s now fully clothed and sporting heels.

Emma Bunton, Baby Spice, used to dress like a cross between an overgrown baby and a mid ‘90s raver. She’s now grown up and still looks incredibly youthful but learned how to put on a normal length dress and stop wearing baby blue all the time.

Mel B, Scary Spice, ditched the scary curls for a slick new look. She really took her “scary” moniker to heart, sometimes wearing leopard print pantsuits and rocking a butch attitude. She’s now casual and chic.

Geri Halliwell, Ginger Spice, gets my vote for most improved. If it’s possible to age backwards, she pulled it off. She looks better than she did when she was in the Spice Girls and is rocking a cute blonde bob now.
