The Richest People in Fashion Revealed
UK publication The Sunday Times has released its annual rich-list and some notable fashion names made it onto the list.

The rich list revealed the 2,000 wealthiest people in Britain spanning all industries: music, sport, fashion, film, and politics.

Christina Ong, who owns Mulberry, rose from out-of-nowhere to land at the #61 spot. The Mulberry retailer also owns franchises of Emporio Armani, Prada and Donna Karan and made close to $2 billion in US dollars this last year.

George and Galen Weston, who own Selfridges, landed in the top 10 richest people with earnings of $9.5 billion!

Sir Philip and Lady Green, who own Arcadia Group, the company that owns Topshop amongst many other British brands, solidified their spot on the list at #17 even though they lost around $162 million last year. It was a bad year for retailers.

Other fashion notables to make this list include David and Victoria Beckham, who made a combined 2011 income of $308 million.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, supermodel and one-time “Transformers” star made the list as well with a net worth of $7.5 million. Did you know she made THAT much money?

Thomas Persson – the London-based 24-year-old runs H&M and has a 36 percent stake in the company has a net worth of $1.1 billion. A 24-year-old runs H&M? Gah, what are you doing with your life?
