Victoria Beckham Defends Skinny Models
February 18, 2010 by: BRIDGET DALY

Victoria, who is just a stick herself, was quick to defend them saying, “Most of these girls are naturally thin. And I don’t think we should be discriminating against someone because they are too thin or too curvy or too large or whatever it is.”
Depsite coming to their rescue, Victoria also sees the big picture. She’s reportedly working with Council of Fashion Designers of America to create some diversity in the fashion world. “The CFDA have reached out to designers, stylists and casting directors not to work with underage models, girls that are too thin — and to be more ethnically aware,” she said. “The campaign the CFDA has launched is called Health Is Beauty, and they are definitely encouraging designers to work with healthier-sized models.”
We’re glad Victoria is doing this! She has a big influence in the fashion world right now, and people will listen to her if she helps to facilitate this change on the runway!
What do you think? Are models too thin right now?
